President Established this multi-faceted company to provide a wide range of real estate development, design and construction management services to clients. As owner and president of the company, perform all operational and client-related services for the firm, including sales/marketing, client contacts, office management & administration, revenues/margins and business strategies.

1988 – 1992 Opus Southwest Corporation Phoenix, Arizona-based company, one of the largest design–build and development firms in the southwest region.

Responsible for managing staff of 50+ individuals in design and project management operations; marketing and lead generation; maintaining past customer contacts; managing departmental financial conditions, revenues/margins, budgets, expenses; administration of all construction field operations; held “qualifying party” status for general contracting license in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and Arkansas.

Minneapolis design-build and development firm, staffed at 400–500 people, ranked nationally among the top 50 firms in this field.
Senior Project Manager Responsible for sales, programming, design, estimating, construction management and close-out phases of building project; lead generation and sales calls; coordinating project team of clients, municipalities, subcontractors, in-house design & field personnel and real estate/property management representatives; managing staff of 10–12 project managers, project engineers and Project Interns.

1978 – 1979 Paul Katz & Associates Minneapolis architectural and interior design firm.
Associate/Principal Architect Established 4–6 person architectural and interior design firm. Responsible for pursing architectural projects as firm’s principal architect and lead generator; architectural design, contract documentation production, specification writing, office administration, contracts & billings and maintaining backlog of design work on wide range of building types; i.e., commercial/retail, office, medical, industrial & residential.

1974 – 1978 Setter, Leach & Lindstrom, Inc. One of the largest architectural and engineering firms in Minnesota.
Director of Architecture Responsible for hiring and work assignments for staff of 20–25 architects; design/technical quality of all architectural projects produced in the office; monitoring in–house projects, client budgets and project cost control.

1967 – 1974 Gingold-Pink Architecture, Inc. Diverse architectural & engineering consulting firm, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Project Architect Responsible for the architectural design and production on commercial, housing, industrial, retail & medical facilities; architectural focus on additions and remodeling of existing facilities; client contacts, presentation drawings, working drawings and field inspections.
